Work Adjustment Training - Services Provided at OCI Wilmington Site - 3030 Bowers Street.

This program is designed to help a person learn the daily demands of working: getting up and getting to work on time, working as a member of a team with co-workers, accepting supervision, following instructions, etc. The individual learns to meet these employment expectations in a real work setting. Work Adjustment is also the right program for individuals who are recovering from an accident or illness and who require work hardening services to determine if they have the stamina and tolerance to work a full day.

Vocational Skills Training - Services Provided at OCI Wilmington Site - 3030 Bowers Street.
 
Vocational Skills Training is competency-based and highly individualized. In this program, individuals learn the skills necessary for entry-level jobs in their chosen area. It sometimes includes more advanced skills for people with previous work experience. They learn these skills in a real work setting within OCI's business units. Everyone participating in job training also participates in Job Readiness class where they learn Job Search skills. Job training is offered in the following specific areas:

• Materials Handling (including forklift certification)
• Custodial
• Document Management

Services are funded primarily through the Delaware Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
